Ok I make a start.

Female, 29 years old, working on IT Projects for HP in Germany

I am a Hooters fans since I saw my first show in 1993 in Lich.
Knew two songs and went to see the show and then I was lost forever ;)

Saw around 50 live shows by now and hope that there are many more to come.

I started http://www.thehooters.de in 2003 and am happy to support the guys wherever I can.

My hobbies beside the Hooters are my animals (2dogs,1 main coon and 1 icelandic horse), playing bass, sports, webdesign, visiting concerts and meeting with friends.

More about me can be found on my kind of outdated website http://www.nuts.de.vu or on myspace http://www.myspace.com/nuts4977

Here my current favorite pic together with my dogs

Okay, so I'll go second. first of all, thanks Nuts for everything you have done...so far, this looks really good, so keep up your effort and the great work!

Now a little something about me:
Female, 30 years old, working for...you don't want to know :D

I guess I first connected with music of the Hooters through my parents. they were Hooters Fans back in the early 90's and so I listened to Hooters songs when I was just a teenager.

Saw them on stage for the first time in October 94 and then again quite a few times within the past few years...at least 25 shows and counting.

Don't ask me, what makes this band so special...go to a show and see for yourself. You have to not only hear but feel the music, kinda hard to explain.

Other than that, there's not much to tell about me. I'm totally in love with my 2 cats, like to go to the movies and try to enjoy life as much as I can.

#3!!!

I'm the world's only Vietnamese redneck Hello Kitty NASCAR fan who appeared on MTV with the guys back in 1987 and have been a fan since 1984.

I am an optician by trade but am currently a restauranteur managing a new franchise so I haven't really figured out what I want to do when I grow up.

I have a cat named Angel and a husband named John.
Apparently I am the grandma of this group so far since I will be 36 next month

I knit and do crafty things when I'm not working 80 hrs a week.

My name is Nicole. I'm from Pennsylvania, in the USA. I'm 24 years old, will be 25 in a couple months.

I've been a Hooters fan since 1985 (yes if you do the math, that means I was barely 3 when Nervous Night came out).

I got to see them in concert in 2001 for the first time, with Pierre Robert's anniversary concert (he is a famous DJ in Philly who played the Hooters all the time in their early years. He was celebrating his 20th anniversary in radio or WMMR i forget which).

But you may know me as the semi vocal person on the Yahoo Group, for the group.

Also if you want to check me out, I've got a Myspace as well.

Nicole's Myspace

Also I don't have the link off hand but I am the moderator of the Melodica group on Myspace.

I'll edit this once I get the link.

Also I work for a company that creates web based training, for hospitals. If you want a more detailed explanation just ask.

OK, Male, 43 years old, turning 44 soon (in August) which makes me the senior of this section of the forum (by the way: great job, Nuts!) so far. Currently I'm working for a small IT/telecommunications company.

I am a Hooters fan since 1987 and live in Karlsruhe, Germany where he Hooters just played 2 weeks ago:

my short review of this show

I saw the Hooters for the first time in 1988, when they were supporting "Heart" (this was one of the few concerts I went to because of the support act, not the main act) and saw them the 2nd time in Lich in 1993 (hello nuts!). From 1993 on I managed to see 3-5 shows of the differnt tours they did between 93-95 and 2003 - today.

My favorite Hooters album currently of course is "Time stand still".

My name is Randi, I am female, and I am from Kutztown, PA. I think I have you beat age wise HaGe, but not by too much. I have been a Hooters fanatic since 1986, saw my first show in 1987 at Kutztown University. Stood in line for 3 hours to get right in front of the stage. Eric touched my hand at the end of the show and its been love ever since. I haven't seen as many shows as I would have liked living 90 minutes from Philly and at the time commuting to work 3 hours a day. I totally missed Out of Body tour cause I just had my daughter. Tough to go out with a little one and no family around to babysit. Did see most of Eric's solo shows, the reunion show for Pierre, the memorial day show before the first German tour and last year's Electric Factory show. Missed World Cafe Live because of surgery and the Borgata and Meridian shows because of a vacation I couldn't reschedule. So Rob and Eric in FL in March which was well worth the trip. Hopefully there will be many shows for me to see this fall :)

Besides a husband and soon-to-be 14 year old daughter, I have many pets to love, 2 horses, a dog, 3 cats, 1 bunny, 2 guinea pigs and fish.

In addition to the Hooters, I follow Springsteen and John Eddie. I love John cause he usually playing somewhere in the area. His stage shows are as energetic and Bruce and very fun. When Bruce goes on tour, I will see 10 - 15 shows except for the Devils and Dust tour when it was 6 and Seeger Sessions when I only saw 2 cause I was on vacation when he was playing. I was hoping he would do a second run through the US, but he didn't. I will make up for it on the next tour which hopefully will start this fall.

I am one of the moderators of melodica on yahoogroups. And that is about it. I am currently unemployed so I can be home with my daughter this summer. Maybe I will still be unemployed this fall so I will have time for the Hooters US tour and the Springsteen tour.

Hello. . . Willie here. Gonna drop the 411 on you about who I am, what I do, and how long I've been following the guys.

Who am I?

A dashing young 39 year old. Raised in Central PA, moved out as soon as I could, and have been in the greater Seattle, WA area since late '85.

What I do?

Work for Starbucks Coffee in the IT department. It's a job. I keep going back for the coffee. Looking for some sort of employment change. Maybe I'll start a band. Yeah. . . .that's it, a band. Here's the promo B & W we'll send out.

Attached Image

How long?

Since about '83. Picked up Amore at a local record store. (Paid a grand total of $7.49 for it) Played it so much that I'm sure that I wore it thin. I can honestly tell you that Amore/Nervous Night served as the sound track for my life all the way back then. Ahhhhh...... the memories. . . . .

In the last two years, I've made two trips back to Philly to see the guys perform. World Cafe Live in November of 2005 and then just last June at the Electric Factory. AMAZING SHOWS. . . .

Here's a shot I got of Eric from the World Cafe show.

Attached Image

So . . . that's it. Need to have the band come to SEATTLE. The flying back to Philly is enjoyable, but . . . . well. . . . . Seattle would be a little less expensive for a guy trying to start his own thing with DOOD BREW!

Oh. . . . almost forgot, I like to read in my spare time as well.

Hi, I am Martin, 31 years old, living in Hamburg.
Liked the Hooters-music since the big sucess of the "One Way Home"-album in 1987, and saw my first Hooters-Show in 1993 in Hamburg, Große Freiheit.
I´m a bass-player in a band called "Caleidoscope", maybe you like to "check it out" (as Rob would say): www.caleidoscope.org
I was playing in in another band before "caleidoscope" and we covered a lot of Hooters-songs (And We Danced, Karla, Give The Music Back, Day By Day, Fightin, House Of Wolfgang), so I have a lot of nice memories about the Hooters-songs.
My hobbies are making music and sports, and in addition to the Hooters I love the music of Tom Petty very much.

Hi all. My name is Angela, I will be 37 in September, I am a stay at home mother to 4 girls ages 13, 6, 5, and 4. I fell in love with the Hooters in the summer of '85 when a local radio station played "And We Danced". Connected to the music right away. At the time I was living in Massachusetts, USA. I followed the band around New England for about 3 years, then it was time to go to college. Where did I go? University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Why there? Because the Hooters were from there, of course! My oldest daughter's name is Erika- wonder were I came up with that (used a "k" to be different--"Karla with a K" ;) ). Boy, typing this makes me realize how much the Hooters affected my "youth". I live in Maine now. I just found a box of all my old Hooters tapes (bootleg interviews from the Philly area) and thought I'd check the internet and see what the guys have been up to for the last 13 years. Good to see they are still at it! (Boy, do I feel OLD!) :D

Hi. I'm Lisa. I've been a Hooters fan since 1984. I saw them live for the first time on 2/14/86, opening for Loverboy and many, many times since then. Before I turned 21, my friends and I would sit behind the cabarets to listen to the shows because we couldn't get in.

I'm 38, live in NJ, married for 8 years with a 7 year old daughter.

I'm really glad the guys recorded a new album. The music is as great as ever. It is a wonderful thing to have new Hooters music after all ths time.

Now, when does the US tour start? :D

Hi

I am a 38-year old (young) man from Norway. Work as a supervisor in a steel foundry.
I have been a Hooters-fan since the Nervous night album.
Saw them live in Oslo twice many years ago. (which was a 8-10 hour drive from my home)
And a couple of days ago I went to see them i Cologne. Great show, and fun to meet the guys after the show. It's a long way to travel for a concert, but it was worth it.

Finally a new Hooters album. Love it!

When in Cologne, some guy took pictures and put them on an Cologne-info page. You can see me here (I'm the bald fat guy) :

I am a single momma of a ^^ toddler lol little blue eyed blonde haired angel and I have a four legged fur ball that it just the best too. Some days I think I trained her too well.

I am a student currently in the Puget Sound and also an Admin of my own forum. If you do not mind the add to my affiliates box I will add ya, I just need a logo/image to put there with it. :D

Think that hits the basics, other than I have a twisted sense of humor lol I do keep it in check till you get to know me though. LOL

I am glad to see that this is here for them. I thought they had fallen off the planet till I was putting my music section together in my own forum and went looking for links to artists/groups. I am just amazed at what I have found out. It is awesome that they are still touring and performing...they sound so great and always rocked!

Oh and yes...mid 30's is so old  I'm 34. :P ;)

Haha. Reading the posts makes this a little less the "Music and Lyrics" experience. I'm a 36 yr old chinese female living in the Philippines with her 1 son and 1 dog. I'm a speech and language pathologist by trade, and take up martial arts. I've been a hooters fan since the summer of '85 and have never let up, though i have never left the country to attend any concert. My stash of hooters music is limited to the 4 albums from nervous night to out of body...in cassette! They were painstakingly mailed to me by a friend in the u.s. to replace my locally purchased and crumbling tapes. Sigh, and my dumb player goes and eats my out of body yesterday. Sigh, so it's a sign i guess, to go abroad and get the whole collection in cd!!!
The pictures show that some of the band members aged better than the others, as i'm sure it is with us fans. :D So here's hopin' i can still dance when i finally get to a live gig.
p.s. I'm not the only asian!! groovy.
